NEB Grade 11 Result Updates
National Examination Board (NEB) has already called applications from websites, SMS service providers and IVR service providers who want to publish the results of Grade 12 (Science, Management, Humanities and Education) and that of Grade 11 (all faculties). Generally, NEB publishes results of ‘Grade 12 - Science’ a month ahead earlier than those of ‘Grade 12 - Management, Humanities and Education’. As per the latest information given to edusanjal, the results of class 12 Science will be published by the fourth week of ongoing month (Sharwan). Grade 12 examination was held from Baisakh 14, 2075 (April 27, 2018) to Baishakh 29, 2075 (May 12, 2018). Similarly, the examination of Grade 11 was conducted from Baishakh 30, 2075 (May 13, 2018) to Jestha 9, 2075 (May 23, 2018). A total of 1,049 examination centres were determined throughout Nepal for conducting examination. The results of grade 11 are published all at once in the month of December. After the publication of the results of Grade XII as well as Grade XI, students who have failed in only one theoretical subject can participate in ‘Chance examination’ by filling in ‘chance exam application form’.
How to view Grade 12 and Grade 11 Results
Students can check results of Grade 12 via serveral websites, SMS services, and/or IVR services. Previous Grade 11 and 12 Results and their Statistics
Last year, the results of Grade 12 were published under old (percentage) system and that of Grade 11 in new (grading) system. The results of Grade 12 Science of last year was published on August 3, 2017. Out of 42,897 students, 35,668 passed the examination. The pass percentage in the regular category was 79.44%. Under exempted category, 43.96 percent students were passed. The results of Grade 12 Management, Humanities and Education were published nearly one month later on August 31, 2017. According to National Examination Board 81,758, students passed in the regular category and 38,444 passed in the partial category.
What about admissions in Bachelor Level Programs (Engineering & Medicine)?
Entrance examination notice for the enrollment in various programs under Engineering and Medicine are published right after (sometimes before) the publication of results of Grade 12 in Science. Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering (TU-IOE) has already called for application for the entrance examination of Bachelor of Engineering and B.Arch program. Similarly Kathmandu University School of Engineering and School of Science also announces admissions open for Undergraduate programs. Institute of Medicine (IOM)-Tribhuvan University and Kathmandu University both are yet to publish Bachelor level entrance examination notice for the enrollment in MBBS and other medical & health science programs such as BPH, BMLT, BDS, BMIT, B.Sc Nursing, BNS etc. There isn’t a centralized entrance examination system for the enrollment in Bachelor Level programs under Pokhara University and various colleges have already started spot entrance and interview for the selection of the candidates in the programs they are currently offering. Although a centralized examination is conducted for Purbanchal University admissions, its results are published late because students prefer Kathmandu and Tribhuvan University.
What about Management degrees?
Tribhuvan University conducts Central Management Aptitude Test for the enrollment in its Business programs (BBA, BIM, BHM, BTTM, BBM and BMS) programs. For the enrollment in BBS program of Tribhuvan University, colleges conduct entrance examinations and interviews on their own for selecting students for enrollment. Similarly, Kathmandu University conducts KUMAT.
What about other programs?
Apart from programs mentioned above, there are various popular degrees in various fields such as Agriculture, Forestry, Humanities and Social Science programs. The entrance examination and admissions calls for the enrollment in these programs varies based on the University and the Programs. Scholarships to Study Bachelor programs in Nepal
Irrespective of the programs, there are plenty of scholarships being offered for the students to fund their study. Government of Nepal, Ministry of Education gets quota from both National and International Universities, and thus provide scholarships to study Engineering, Medicine, Forestry, Agriculture etc. Universities of Nepal also conduct scholarship examinations to identify meritorious students. Indian Embassy also gives scholarships to study Bachelor level in India and also some cash benefits to students who are studying Bachelor level in Nepal.
